Privacy Policy for Harmony Sync
Effective Date: August 21, 2026
Harmony Sync (“the Extension”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your data when you use our Chrome Extension to transfer music playlists.
Data Collection and Usage The Extension operates strictly within your local browser environment. We only process data necessary to fulfill the Extension’s single purpose: transferring playlists between supported music platforms.
Website Content: The Extension temporarily reads tracklist metadata (song titles, artist names) directly from the active music streaming tab you have open.
Authentication Information: The Extension handles standard OAuth protocols and local session tokens to authenticate with the official APIs of Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube Music.
Data Storage and Transfer
No External Servers: Harmony Sync does not route, transmit, or store any of your personal data, browsing history, or authentication tokens on external developer servers.
No Data Selling: We do not sell, rent, or monetize your data.
Direct API Communication: All data transfers occur directly between your local browser and the official third-party music streaming APIs.
